Just starting Jiu-Jitsu? It can be a daunting decision just to get yourself across the front door of the gym to your first ever practice session!
Not to worry though, the best advice I was given was to tap fast and tap early, simple as that, donβt be a hero and risk and over extension, oh and go in there with the empty mind, and leave your ego at the door. Nearly everyone I have met in Jiu-Jitsu have come across as friendly and just want to pass on the knowledge.
Take a look at the YouTube video above from Ray Casias, it covers 20 moves that all Jiu Jitsu white belts should know, it is a great baseline to view Jiu Jitsu from a beginners perspective.
Enjoy and keep training. Have any other Jiu Jitsu white belt resources? Share them in the comments below.

So useful. Once you start, you are addicted to BJJ, although white belt can seem a bit daunting at first, once you get started, there is no stopping the thrist to learn more and then move onto the next belt.
totally agree!
Going for my blue soon! eeeek!
