Fight Week Marlon Vera vs. Cory Sandhagen

A couple weeks ago for UFC Vegas 71, they had a main event Bantamweight Matchup with Petr Yan (#4) vs. Merab Dvalishvili (#1). Two weeks later we have another great Bantamweight main event bout with Marlon “Chito” Vera (#3) facing against Cory Sandhagen (#5). Also the former women’s Bantamweight champion Holly Holm (#3) will be fighting Yana Santos (#6), and with Alex Caceres (#15) will try to climb up in the Featherweight division facing Nate Landwehr, And lastly for the main card we have a women’s Flyweight division matchup with Andrea Lee (#11) vs. Maycee Barber (#13). There’s also a great Flyweight matchup on the end of the Prelims that you don’t wanna miss with Alex Perez (#6) vs. Manel Kape (#9).

Now let’s talk about the main event, Marlon “Chito” Vera (20-7-1) is coming into this fight with a 4-fight winning streak with his last fight facing former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz (#7) and beating him with a front kick KO/TKO finish in the 4th round. He’s faced top Bantamweight contenders since he entered the UFC way back in 2014 like Rob Font, Frankie Edgar, Jose Aldo, Song Yadong, and Sean O’malley.

Now Cory Sandhagen (15-4) is coming into this fight with only a one-fight winning streak beating Song Yadong by a doctor’s stoppage in September last year. But he also has fought for the Bantamweight interim title against Petr Yan, and has also fought top contenders like TJ Dillishaw, Frankie Edgar, Marlon Moraes, and Bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling. The event will take place in San Antonio, Texas at the “AT&T Center” on March, 20.
