Now let’s talk about the Main Event. Jairzinho Rozenstruik (13-4) is coming into this fight with a one-fight winning streak with his last opponent he faced Chris Daukus, beating him by TKO/KO in 23 seconds At UFC 282, that was the first fight Rozenstruik has won since June, 2021. Rozenstruik made his UFC debut back in 2019 against Junior Albini whom he finished by TKO/KO in the second round, and was on a four-fight winning streak in the beginning of his UFC career and has had seven KO finishes already. Rozenstruik has beaten opponents like Andrei Arlovski, Alistair Overeem, Junior Dos Santos, and Augusto Sakai. His winning streak ended when he fought the Former Heavyweight Champion Francis Ngannou, and has struggled to get back into consistency and is looking to get a big win this weekend against Jailton Almeida at UFC Fight Night.
Jailton Almeida (18-2) is coming into this fight with a thirteen-fight winning streak in his MMA career and a five-fight winning streak in the UFC. His last opponent he fought was Shamil Abdurakhimov at UFC 283 by a TKO/KO finish in the second round. Almeida made his UFC debut on UFC Fight Night: Hermannson vs. Strickland against Danilo Marques and finished him with a TKO/KO finish in the first round. Almeida was invited to compete in the Dana White’s Contender Series before his debut and faced off against Nasrudin Nasrudinov, to whom he finished by a rear naked choke submission in the first round. He is undefeated in the UFC still and has finished opponents like Anton Turkalj and Parker Porter.
Will Rozenstruik be the one to first beat Jailton Almeida?
Or is Almeida gonna prove us all wrong?
