Hey everyone! I'm pleased to announce I'm now going to be working over on CombatSportsUK. I'll have a piece out on ThisMMALife later this week talking about how the site helped me to find my footing within the community and gave me a place to create my own brand. I couldn't be more grateful for everything that this place and the people on it have done for me and I'll do everything I can to continue to promote fan-created content on the site despite the new location of my own pieces. I'll also still have a presence on this site for sure.
If you enjoyed my other writings, I'll drop my piece on Cory Sandhagen vs Song Yadong in the links below. Gifs are all hyperlinked to avoid copyright issues, but still very much valid if a visual cue is something you find useful

Amazing 🎉 Really happy for you @ogaddmma ! Really glad we helped you get there. Don't forget you can cross post here with the canonical link to retain SEO and rank over at CombatSportsUK.
You're going to have to explain that last part to me like I'm an idiot hahahaha
Thanks a lot for all the support man. You taught me how to use the platform, how to create and implement gifs, all of it. Without you and ThisMMALife I wouldn't have found the platform that let me explore fight analysis
It's what @joe_mmahive does with The MMA Hive. He'll post his original content at his own blog, then he'll 'cross post' it here and set the canonical URL when copying the post over.
So when you copy across the post content, hit the small pentagon shape to the right:
The drop the link for the original article link in the canonical url field:
What's happens is Google comes along and crawls the post on This MMA Life, it's notified that the post is not the original one (the canonical url), it knows that it's a cross post, so off it goes to crawl the original and continues to rank and build SEO on that.
Here's a post that covers cross posting on This MMA Life it more in depth, I think Joe also has his MMA Hive posts coming in automatically via an RSS feed in his profile so he doesn't have to manually copy and paste stuff over. He also created an organisation for the MMA Hive to retain his branding here so he can cross post under the same name.
Really happy about this, your post fight pieces along with the gifs you provide are very educational.
Well done bro - really chuffed for you, wouldn't mind doing something like this myself one day, if you can share some tips in that post you are going to do that would be cool.
More of Ollie’s posts for anyone else interested in the quality and effort 😎
